I’m Mike McKinstry, Chair of the Geelong Regional Football Committee (GRFC), and I need all of your support in arranging some volunteer support from each of your clubs for the coming Country Championship that we are hosting here in Geelong in June.

I know that all of the club Presidents have done a great job in communicating with you, and you’ll know all about the coming Country Championships in 2021 (CC2021), so I don’t need to provide you with any details in this email, and the website is https://countrychampsvic.com/

We also have the support of Geelong Council in publicising the event to showcase Soccer in Geelong

But the timing of the Championships is quickly approaching us now, and we’re not getting the volunteer numbers confirmed that we need from each club to enable us to run a quality event.

As such, I’m sending this email to this wider email list that I’ve been provided, to echo the request made by your club President, and to get this request out there to a wider audience seeking your club’s support that we need now.

All of the Geelong clubs voted to host the CC2021 here in Geelong, and we need a minimum of 6 volunteers per club, which at this point we don’t have confirmed.

Myself and the Geelong Country Championship Organising Committee need your help.

I’ve included below a link to the volunteer form that some of you may have seen, but I really need to push for you to discuss this within your club, and input the necessary volunteer numbers now so that the CC Committee can start to finalise the arrangements:

I know that we all want to ensure that with Geelong hosting the Championships this year, we want this to be a real quality event and experience for all of the visiting players and families from all over Victoria (as well as for you and our local players too!).

Can I ask that you please give this a push within the next week so that we can finalise our planning with the required level of support from every club that we need.
